REVIEW: NYX MEGA SHINE LIPGLOSS IN 'BEIGE'

Possibly THE most sort after lip gloss of this year (after the beautiful Tanya Burr mentioned it on YouTube) I finally got my mitts on my own tube of NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in 'Beige'.

It's constantly sold out on the NYX website and it took a lot of watching, waiting and page refreshing for me to finally be able to order this lip gloss. Luckily NYX were holding a 15% off when it did finally come back into stock after reaching a Twitter follower milestone. I snapped it up. Was it worth it though?

The packaging is standard lip gloss fare - it's a tube with a doe-foot applicator attached to the lid. It has a cute little bow on the lid and big NYX branding across the bottom. So far, so sweet but ordinary. It's the product inside that really grabbed my attention though.

Named 'Beige', but having absolutely nothing beige about it, this is possibly the most perfect and flattering pink that I've ever come across. It suits my pale skin so well and, having seen it swatched on darker skin tones than mine, it suits those too.

The formula is thick but not sticky, with absolutely no obvious sparkle or glitter particles. It's just full wattage shine from the moment it hits the lips and it lasts reasonably well considering that lip glosses don't tend to have longevity (at least not on me anyway - I talk, eat and drink far too much for that). I like the scent too - sweet like bonbons and delicious. It compliments any outfit I wear, any FOTD that I attempt and genuinely looks great over any pink lip product I already own. My favourite other lip product to pair it with at the moment is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 'Honey'. Even on it's own this lip gloss looks so casual and beautiful that I genuinely think it's the best beauty purchase I've made in a long time. 

I'm well known for preferring lipsticks to lipglosses but in this instance - I'm head over heels in love.

Would I recommend it? If you're looking for an every day, wearable, flattering pink that you can wear anywhere - work, school, college, parties, date nights and cocktails with the girls - then seriously look no further.
